Melanie joined the Sovereign team in April 1999 as the Office Manager to assist the underwriting, accounting, and legal teams with administrative support. In 2005 she moved to Canada with her family then she returned to Bermuda in July 2010 and re-joined the Sovereign team as the Operations Manager.  Her main roles are Compliance, Database Management, Underwriting and Accounting support.

Prior to Sovereign, she worked for several years as an Administrative Manager for Texaco Inc. She also has a strong background in the Health & Fitness field and has represented Bermuda in prestigious cycling events, including the female’s Tour de France, Commonwealth Games, and World B Cycling Championships.

Melanie has a bachelor’s in business administration and management and a master’s in business marketing and management. Melanie then obtained a designation of Chartered Insurance Operation Professional, C.I.O.P.
