James joined Sovereign as a Research Analyst in October 2023. He assists the underwriters with political risk analysis, country research, and underwriting decisions. He also assists with reporting, tracking exposures, and maintaining databases.

Prior to joining Sovereign James worked in Multination Insurance at AIG. James graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a major in International Business & Economics and a minor in Kinesiology Sports Studies. He also completed the Associate in Reinsurance (Are) designation in 2023. James is also a player on the Bermuda National Ball Hockey Team which competes for Bermuda in international tournaments. He was on the 2022 team which won the Division B World Championship.
